Ge Replacement Water Filter for Side-by-Side and GE Profile Side-by-Side Refrigerators

The Ge replacement water filter is designed for side-by-side and GE profile side-by-side refrigerators beginning with the 2007 model year. This filter effectively reduces a wide range of waterborne contaminants, including mercury, toxaphene, P-Dichlorobenzene, carbofuran, alachlor, and benzene. Additionally, it reduces the levels of lead, cryptosporidium, and dgiardia in the water.

The slim design of this filter allows for easy installation and removal, requiring no tools. Users simply need to replace the filter every 6 months to maintain optimal performance. The filter has a rated capacity of 300.0 gallons and is NSF 42 and NSF 53 certified.

The filter's carbon block media provides a range of water purification benefits. It reduces 2,4-D by 96%, asbestos by more than 99%, atrazine (a herbicide) by more than 93.9%, benzene by more than 96.8%, carbofuran by more than 98.7%, and chlorine taste and odor by 97%. It also reduces cysts by more than 99.99%, lead by 99.3% at 6.5 pH and 98% at 8.5 pH, lindane (a pesticide) by more than 99%, and mercury by 94% at 6.5 pH and 88.4% at 8.5 pH. The filter also reduces nominal particulate matter class 1 by 95.5% and toxaphene by more than 92.9%.

It is important to note that a small amount of carbon block dust may be present at the opening or tip of the water filter, and this is a common occurrence. Users should purge the filter when it is first installed to remove any dust particles.

This GE replacement water filter is compatible with side-by-side refrigerators and requires a water pressure between 40 and 120 psi for proper operation. It effectively removes odors and provides better-tasting, cleaner water and ice.
